Norton Rose Fulbright advises Tages Capital on the acquisition of a 85.4MWp PV portfolio from Glennmont Partners

Italia Press release - Business January 22, 2019

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Tages Capital SGR (Tages), acting for its two reserved closed real estate investment funds (Tages Helios and Tages Helios II), on the acquisition from Glennmont Clean Energy Coöperatief U.A. of the entire share capital of CEF Energia Italia B.V., a Dutch company that owns, through four Italian companies, a portfolio of three PV plants with an overall capacity of 85.4MWp. The portfolio is one of the largest of its kind in Italy and consists of projects located in the Lazio and Veneto Regions.

Following this acquisition, Tages is the second largest player in the Italian PV market, owning 109 plants with an overall capacity of around 309MWp.

Luigi Costa, of counsel in the Milan office of Norton Rose Fulbright, commented:

“In the last few years we have advised Tages on four successful solar acquisitions in Italy for an overall capacity of around 300MWp. We have had the pleasure of working side by side with Tages’ highly skilled and ambitious management and legal teams on these transactions. Our combined efforts have contributed to Tages’ growth in Italy and strengthened its standing as one of the largest players in Europe.”

The Norton Rose Fulbright team was led by Luigi Costa and included Milan-based partner Arturo Sferruzza and senior associate Ginevra Biadico. Amsterdam-based partner Heimon Smits, senior associate Joep Duinker and associates Jasper Geerdes and David de Roos advised on Dutch law aspects of the deal.
