Biography

Annie Tran practises corporate, commercial and securities law, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate finance, capital markets and corporate governance. 

Annie advises clients on a broad range of domestic and cross-border matters and transactions, including private and public M&A, corporate reorganizations and restructurings, and debt and equity financings. She also routinely advises clients on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, continuous disclosure and other general corporate, commercial and securities law matters.

Prior to joining us, Annie was an associate at another leading national law firm, where she worked across the corporate, banking and financial services and intellectual property practice groups.

  • Keyera Corp. in its proposed C$5.15 billion acquisition of substantially all of Plains All American, L.P.'s Canadian natural gas liquids business and select U.S. assets and its related C$2.1 billion bought deal prospectus offering of subscription receipts
  • Parkland Corporation in its proposed US$9.1 billion acquisition by Sunoco LP by way of a plan of arrangement and in its US$500 million private placement of senior notes
  • The syndicate of dealers in Canadian Natural Resource Limited's US$1.5 billion private placements of unsecured notes and its concurrent C$500 million private placement of unsecured notes 
  • The syndicate of dealers in the C$400 million inaugural private placement of senior unsecured notes by a Canadian midstream energy company
  • Wolf Midstream Canada LP in its C$600 million inaugural private placement of senior unsecured notes and its subsequent C$400 million private placement of senior unsecured notes
  • Athabasca Oil Corporation in its C$200 million private placement of senior unsecured notes
  • Veren Inc. in its C$1 billion private placements of senior unsecured notes
