Norton Rose Fulbright’s global blockchain and cryptocurrency team has produced a global legal and regulatory guide to cryptocurrencies.

Chapter 2: Insuring cryptocurrency risks
As bitcoin and other virtual currencies become better established, so it is likely that demand for insurance to protect against the particular risks associated with them will increase. Even as matters stand, it would appear that a nascent bitcoin insurance market is beginning to emerge.
If cryptocurrencies do become more prevalent over time, the insurance industry will be looking carefully at the risks which it is able to insure and on what terms. In this chapter, we seek to identify and discuss some of the issues we believe may come into focus, as insurers start to undertake this exercise.

Understanding hydrogen in Indonesia
As a general remark, Indonesia has not, at the date of preparing this summary, issued any regulation on hydrogen production, distribution and trade. It is expected that the upcoming New and Renewable Energy Law will provide a legal framework for the exploitation and utilisation of various new energy sources, including hydrogen.

Understanding carbon capture and storage in Indonesia
Indonesia has committed to achieving Net Zero Emissions by 2060, consistent with its obligations under the Paris Agreement. Carbon capture and storage (CCS) and carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS) are central to this strategy, particularly in the upstream oil and gas sector. Leveraging an estimated 400 gigatons of geological storage capacity, Indonesia is positioning itself as a regional CCS hub in the Asia-Pacific.
