CPR adds Denton Nichols to Young Leaders in ADR Steering Committee

Houston Partner Denton Nichols has been selected as a member of the 2023 Steering Committee for the Young Leaders in Alternative Dispute Resolution (Y-ADR) of the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution (CPR). Y-ADR Steering Committee members are selected through a rigorous application process to serve three year terms.

Y-ADR convenes the next generation of alternative dispute resolution leaders from corporations, law firms, academia, and other institutions. As the leadership of Y-ADR, the Steering Committee organizes programming and initiatives to educate the next generation of professionals on the full spectrum of dispute prevention and resolution mechanisms, while also offering unique networking and professional development benefits to participants.

In his practice, Nichols regularly handles international arbitrations, investor-state disputes and international litigation in US courts. He represents clients in the energy, petrochemical, manufacturing and mining industries. His extensive experience encompasses disputes arising from energy contracts, joint operating agreements, merger and acquisitions, sales of goods and investment agreements. Fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, Nichols devotes a significant portion of his practice to Latin America.
