Norton Rose Fulbright wins European Law Firm of the Year for derivatives transactions

Global Press release - Recognition September 2019

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has been awarded European Law Firm of the Year – Transactions by GlobalCapital at their annual Derivatives Awards 2019.

GlobalCapital, a leading information source of the international capital markets, recognised the institutions, products and services that have improved the global derivatives markets over the last 12 months. The winners were decided by the editorial panel announced at the awards on September 25.

The editorial panel judged nominees’ innovations in product and service commitments to new markets, improvements in efficiency, liquidity and market stability, as well as client guidance.

Led by London-based partners Nigel Dickinson and Daniel Franks, the Norton Rose Fulbright European derivatives team provides innovative markets solutions to leading global investment banks, including in relation to cryptoassets, swap bifurcations, commodity hedging syndication, syndicated repo financing and trade finance.

Nigel Dickinson commented:

“This is a great achievement for our European derivatives practice. It’s been a busy year for the practice and this looks set to continue. The transactional practice remains strong notwithstanding ongoing local and global political uncertainty.”

Daniel Franks commented:

“We are delighted that GlobalCapital have recognised the innovative work we are doing for our clients in this space and we look forward to an exciting year ahead. The global derivatives market continues to grow in size and complexity, with technology playing an ever increasing role, and we look forward to continuing to support both the traditional market participants and the newcomers as it continues to develop.”
