Norton Rose Fulbright represents Corporación Andina de Fomento in US$300M AB loan agreement

Lawyers from Norton Rose Fulbright's São Paulo and Washington, DC offices advised Corporación Andina de Fomento (CAF) in its recent US$300 million loan agreement for a three-year period with YPF SA. The B Loan was funded by Banco Santander, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), Itaú Unibanco and Cargill Financial Services International.

CAF is a development bank that finances projects in the public and private sectors in Latin America. YPF is an Argentine energy company engaged in oil and gas exploration and production and the transportation, refining and marketing of gas and petroleum products.

The loan will be used to finance investments in sustainable projects in Argentina, representing CAF's commitment to supporting foreign direct investments in emerging markets. It is one of the company's first financings aligned with the reduction of emissions, mitigation of the effects of climate change and green projects.
