Norton Rose Fulbright recognized with two ‘Deal of the Year’ awards by Latin Lawyer

Norton Rose Fulbright has been honored with two 2025 Deal of the Year awards by Latin Lawyer. The firm was recognized in the “Project finance: infrastructure” category for the fourth bridge over the Panama Canal project and the “ESG finance” category the US$1 billion debt conversion for El Salvador.

The annual Deal of the Year Awards recognize law firms and general counsel that have worked on Latin America’s most impressive and significant transactions over the last year.

The Panama Canal project was led by the São Paulo team including Daniel SpencerCaspar DaveyFernando AlmeidaCameron Royse and Arthur dos Santos. The London team included David Shearer, Rae Parsons, Matthew HodkinRegina Chan and Fareed Muhammed. The US team included Kim Caine (Washington, DC), Patrick DolanKevin Prokup (New York), Arthur Kimball-Stanley (Austin) and Jason Goolsby (Dallas).

The deal team for the El Salvador debt conversion transaction was led by Kenneth Hansen and Micaela Garcia-Ribeyro (Washington, DC) and also included Daniel Salomón Sotomayor (New York).

Selections were determined from submissions after evaluation by Latin Lawyer's editorial staff. Honorees were celebrated at an award ceremony in São Paulo in May.
