Shauna Clark honored with 2022 Karen H. Susman Jurisprudence Award by the Anti-Defamation League Southwest Region

United States Press release - Business May 2022

Norton Rose Fulbright’s US Chair and US Head of Employment and Labor Shauna Johnson Clark (Houston) has been named the recipient of the 2022 Karen H. Susman Jurisprudence Award by the Anti-Defamation League’s (ADL) Southwest Region.

The award, which is presented annually, honors outstanding civic involvement and recognizes dedication to the mission of ADL. It is named in memory of a distinguished former chair of the ADL regional board.

Clark was instrumental in Norton Rose Fulbright selecting ADL as one of the three charities benefiting from its 2021 Global Charitable Initiative, which focused on fighting racism and championing social justice in business and communities. The marquee event of the initiative was the Run Against Racism, conducted last September at the University of Houston. The initiative raised more than US$300,000 for several charities, including more than US$40,000 for ADL Southwest from the run.

In her own practice, Clark also prioritizes pro bono legal services for charitable organizations, mostly those focusing on women’s healthcare.

Clark is an integral part of the Norton Rose Fulbright leadership team. She serves on the Global Supervisory Board and US Management Committee and is an active member of the firm's US Diversity and Inclusion Committee and US Racial Equality Council. She previously served as Partner-in-Charge of the firm's Houston office and was the firm’s Global Chair in 2021.

Clark will be honored at the Karen H. Susman Jurisprudence Award Luncheon on May 10 in Houston, Texas.
