Implementation of the IDD and IBIPs: What you need to know about the newly proposed legislation in Italy

We are delighted to invite you to join us on Monday, October 21, for a seminar dedicated to the Luxembourg market. The seminar will focus on the public consultation that was launched by Consob and IVASS on September 23 relating to IDD and IBIP products. We are actively taking part in the public consultation, which will end on October 31.

At the seminar, our Milan-based corporate and regulatory insurance lawyers will speak about the key issues raised by the newly proposed legislation and will provide an overview of the main topics addressed by the public consultation, including:

IVASS’ proposed amendment of the Regulations on distribution and disclosure in relation to IBIPs (nos. 40/2018 and 41/2018);
IVASS’ proposed new Regulation to complete the implementation of the IDD in relation to the Product Oversight Governance (POG), which is now regulated by the sole EU Regulation (no. 2017/2358); and
CONSOB’s proposed amendments to the Intermediaries Regulation concerning the rules of conduct and disclosure obligations applicable to banks and investment firms engaged in the distribution of IBIPs.
