Webinar

Middle East | July 06, 2020

We are delighted to invite you to attend a webinar focusing on Environmental, Social and Governance issues in the Middle East.

We will be discussing how guidelines, such as the Equator Principles, help spur the development of ESG management practices across the region, from the perspectives of both lenders and borrowers.

What are the Equator Principles?

The Equator Principles are a set of voluntary guidelines adopted by private financial institutions to ensure that large scale development or construction projects appropriately consider the associated potential impact on the natural environment and the affected communities. Our team at Norton Rose Fulbright has a unique perspective as the legal advisor for the review of the 4th Equator Principles (EP4). You can find out more information here.

Takeaways from this webinar

This webinar will include an introduction to EP4 together with practical examples of new reporting responsibilities of these principles and other sustainability guidance frameworks used on financings in the region. This will be followed by a panel discussion on wider ESG issues and other performance standards used by key players in the market.

Join us to get a better understanding of how banks and developers are utilising sustainability guidance frameworks and how we expect these to shape the projects of the future.

Please do send through questions for the panellists to NRFMiddleEast@nortonrosefulbright.com.
