Seven Norton Rose Fulbright lawyers named to ABA antitrust leadership positions

Seven lawyers on Norton Rose Fulbright's global antitrust and competition team have been appointed to key leadership roles in the American Bar Association's (ABA) Section of Antitrust Law for the organization's 2020-21 calendar year. The Antitrust Law Section is the leading professional organization for antitrust and competition law, trade regulation, consumer protection and economics.

Mark Angland (Washington, DC) has been appointed as the Young Lawyer Representative for the Transportation & Energy Industries Committee (TEI). His responsibilities include event planning, organizing and moderating panels and spearheading the TEI's Young Lawyer Advisory Panel.

Vic Domen (Washington, DC), already co-chair of the Imaging Antitrust Law Section 2.0 Task Force, becomes a member of the Nominating Committee and will help choose future section leadership. He was also named a member of the Presidential Transition Task Force, which will provide recommendations regarding federal enforcement priorities to the 2020 US Presidential election winner this fall.

Layne Kruse (Houston) is the Committee Operations Committee co-chair and helps manage the section's substantive committees concerning specific antitrust and consumer protection issues. This is Kruse's second year serving in this capacity, and he has held other ABA leadership positions for many years.

Jay Modrall (Brussels) will continue his service as a member of the International Developments and Consultations Task Force. The Task Force serves as the primary drafting body for dozens of comments issued by the section annually to antitrust enforcement agencies around the world on important international antitrust, consumer protection, and privacy law issues.

Anne Rodgers (Houston) has been reappointed to The Antitrust Source's editorial board for the 17^th consecutive year. The Antitrust Source is a bi-monthly online publication that focuses on timely consumer protection matters and a wide range of other topics, including original articles, op-eds and book reviews for antitrust lawyers.

Gerald Stein (New York and Washington, DC) is a vice-chair on the Antitrust Law Section's Content Committee. In his third year in this role, Stein is among those responsible for reviewing content for the section's publications and making suggestions on how to improve the organization's written materials and other communications.

Amanda Wait (Washington, DC) serves as a member of the Section Council, the supervisory and governance board overseeing all ABA Antitrust Law Section activities and functions. This is the third of a three-year appointment for Wait, who also mentors up-and-coming competition and consumer protection lawyers in the section.

Ranked as a top ten practice in Global Competition Review's Global Elite (part of the GCR 100), Norton Rose Fulbright's global antitrust and competition practice comprises more than 150 lawyers in 26 countries. The group, also named a top four Global Elite practice for mergers by GCR, advises on all aspects of antitrust law, including multinational mergers and clearances, cartels, abuse of dominance and monopolization, international investigations, compliance and antitrust litigation.
