Rapid population growth and urban migration are triggering a massive demand for urban infrastructure and for this to be viable long term, it has to be sustainable in its broadest sense: in its approach to funding and financing; resilience to climate change; ability to adapt to new technologies and changing demand; in its social inclusivity and access. How we develop our cities is critical not only for those who live and work in them, but also for the investors, owners and lenders who finance them.
