Ruth Gallagher is a dispute resolution lawyer based in Athens.

She focuses on shipping litigation with broad experience in dry shipping matters, acting for P&I Clubs, Owners and Charterers. She has mainly been involved in contentious work advising on charterparty and bill of lading disputes, cargo claims and related security and enforcement issues. 

She has acted in a wide range of shipping disputes including LMAA, ICC and ad-hoc arbitrations as well as the English High Court. She has a particular understanding of the Greek market and business conducted in this region.

She is a solicitor qualified in England and Wales since 2015. She is also a foreign registered lawyer with the Piraeus Bar Assocition in Athens, Greece. She has previously worked in London and has five years experience with another international shipping firm.

Ruth has obtained a LL.M in public and private international law from the London School of Economics (LSE).
