We encourage our people to use their legal knowledge on a pro bono basis to help people in the communities where we live and work, who otherwise lack access to the services we offer.

We believe that we have a responsibility, as corporate citizens, to use our skills and knowledge where we can make a difference, whether it is for our clients, or for the wider communities in which we operate, to help shape the future in a way that provides economic, ecological and social benefits for all.
Our actions in the area of corporate responsibility are many and varied across our business, but in all our activities, we seek to behave in a way that consistently reinforces our business principles of quality, unity and integrity.
Our PNG corporate responsibility initiatives
In Papua New Guinea, one of our key initiatives is our Norton Rose Fulbright PNG Legal Scholarship, which we launched in 2017. We created this scholarship to support PNG legal students who have already shown a commitment to their undergraduate studies, with a focus on those who may be interested in a career in commercial law.
In addition, we:
- encourage our people to use their legal knowledge on a pro bono basis to help people in the communities where we live and work who would otherwise lack access to the services we offer
- support a number of charities through fundraising activities, or simply by making a donation, eg we have been supporting local PNG charity Lawyers4Literacy Inc
- encourage our people to take an active role in society by volunteering to use their skills to help disadvantaged or vulnerable people in our local communities
- recognise we have a responsibility to act sustainably, minimising our impact on the environment and helping to address the environmental issues that jeopardise the earth’s ecosystems and the future of our communities.
