Norton Rose Fulbright advises Future Now Ventures on innovative online super platform investment

Global Business October 14, 2016

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Future Now Ventures on its investment into NowInfinity, an innovative online document management platform for self-managed superannuation funds.

The acquisition was made using a special purpose vehicle – NowInfinity Holdings Pty Ltd – through a combination of cash consideration and scrip-for-scrip rollover.

Norton Rose Fulbright advised on the corporate structuring aspects of the deal, and prepared and negotiated key transaction documents.  It follows a string of recently announced Australian-led technology and media mergers and acquisitions deals for the team, including Appen Limited’s purchase of global technology solutions provider Mendip Media Group, and the sale of iconic music business Alberts to BMG.

Norton Rose Fulbright partner Ben Smits, who led the deal, commented:

“This acquisition is a clever addition to the growing Future Now Ventures portfolio of well-credentialed technology assets.  Future Now Ventures have identified several growth opportunities to build scale with the new platform and it will be exciting to be a part of that journey.”

Ben was assisted in Sydney by associate Ashika Binodan.
