Biography
Alex Zekkos is a banking and finance lawyer based in London.
Alex has a diverse banking and debt finance practice advising borrowers, lenders and investors on a broad range of domestic and cross border financings, public and private M&A transactions and debt restructurings.
He has considerable experience in structuring financings in emerging markets, advising clients across different sectors (TMT, consumer, infrastructure, insurance) and a special focus in the telecoms and media sector. He also has experience acting on export credit agency financings.
Alex trained at the firm, during which time he spent four months in our Singapore office, and qualified in September 2010. He has also spent time seconded in major financial institutions.

- Standard Bank of South Africa Limited on the financings of Helios Towers Tanzania Limited and Helios Towers DRC SARL in connection with the acquisition of telecommunication towers and the financing of improvements to such towers.
- Türk Telekomünikasyon Anonim Şirketi on a number of bilateral and syndicated facilities entered into for capital expenditure purposes, for refinancing purposes as well for the procurement and acquisition of mobile equipment, goods, software and services.
- Alpha Bank A.E., Eurobank Ergasias S.A., National Bank of Greece S.A. and BNP Paribas S.A. on the debt restructuring of M.J. Maillis S.A. and its privatisation / de-listing from the Athens Stock Exchange.
