Peter Tae-Min Choi's practice covers a variety of corporate and commercial law, with a focus on bankruptcy, insolvency and restructuring.
Peter joined our Toronto office as a summer student in 2016 and returned to complete his articles in 2017. During his articles, Peter was seconded to the Royal Bank of Canada where he gained valuable experience with commercial, regulatory and intellectual property matters related to the capital markets and banking industries. Prior to joining our bankruptcy, financial restructuring and insolvency group in 2019, Peter began his legal career as an associate in our litigation group where he practised in all areas of commercial and civil litigation.
While in law school, Peter was involved in the University of Ottawa's ticket defence program where he provided legal aid to homeless and street-involved individuals with provincial offence tickets at local shelters.
Peter currently serves on the board of a not-for-profit organization that provides opportunities for meaningful employment to adults with developmental disabilities.
