Norton Rose Fulbright to add major projects, construction and government partner in Brisbane

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright announced today that Ren Niemann will join as a major projects, construction and government partner in Brisbane.
Ren advises government and corporate clients on construction, infrastructure and procurement projects across many sectors including defence, transport, health, education, waste, water, telecommunications and energy. He is a trusted adviser to the Queensland Government, government-owned entities and agencies, and major councils, and also acts for a range of large infrastructure, mining and property companies and financiers.
Ren will join in April from McCullough Robertson in Brisbane, where he has been a partner and was the national head of government services and lead partner for the Queensland Government. Prior to that, he was a partner at Allens in Brisbane and Sydney.

Norton Rose Fulbright has been adding to its national construction and engineering practice under national team leader Emanuel Confos, with several partner appointments in recent years. The team added partner Laura Walton in Brisbane in September last year, following other recent lateral partner Penelope Ford (Perth). It also recently promoted Josh Henderson (Brisbane), Luke van Grieken (Melbourne) and Daniel Vicano (Sydney) to the partnership.
This has coincided with a significant increase in the firm’s government capability, under national head of government Michael Greene, most notably through the addition of head of the Canberra office Holly McAdam and Canberra-based partners Richard Morrison, Martin Taylor and Catherine Whitby.
