Sue Ann Gan is a shipping lawyer based in Singapore. She focuses on maritime law and has over 15 years' experience advising financial institutions, private equity houses, lessees and owners on a wide range of ship finance transactions for all asset classes. She also has experience in syndicated and structured debt financing and export credit financing.
Prior to joining the firm, Sue Ann practised with a local shipping law firm, focussing on shipping litigation and arbitration. She has been involved in a variety of matters, including wet and dry shipping work, and has hands-on experience with arresting ships in Singapore.
Sue Ann's shipping litigation background has equipped her to deal with complex issues that arise in risk management and restructuring matters (including workouts and rehabilitation process). She regularly conducts due diligence exercises and advises lenders and shipowners on bankability, risk and liability issues in relation to shipping projects.
Sue Ann has previously been seconded to BP, Gazprom and a Japanese ship owning company.
