Biography
Fiona Sarazin is a litigation lawyer with a broad and growing intellectual property practice. Fiona advises clients in complex mandates across a range of industries, including those in the pharmaceutical, life sciences, technology, healthcare, and consumer product sectors. While her practice touches on all facets of IP, she has a particular focus on patents, trademarks, and issues affecting the life sciences and technology industries.
In her litigation practice, Fiona provides strategic advice and representation in complex patent disputes before the Federal Court, including litigation matters brought under the Patent Act, the Patented Medicines (Notice of Compliance) Regulations, and related legislation.
In her trademarks practice, Fiona advises clients on all aspects of trademark prosecution, protection, and enforcement, including assisting clients in the exploitation and infringement of trademarks. Fiona has acted as counsel in trademarks disputes before the Federal Court, the Trademarks Opposition Board, and the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center.
Fiona joined our Toronto office as a summer student in 2020 and returned to article with us in 2022-2023. Fiona joined our Montréal office as an associate in 2024.
