In an ambitious move to attempt to shake up capital markets, the Texas Stock Exchange has emerged as a new player.

The TXSE is a new national stock exchange based in Dallas, aiming to compete with the firmly established US exchanges such as the New York Stock Exchange and the Nasdaq.
