Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright recently advised Cypress Creek Renewables on its US$125 million investment into the company by CarVal Investors.
Cypress Creek will put the investment toward supporting the purchase of solar equipment and growth investment in its solar and renewable energy storage project pipeline. The funding also will support Cypress Creek’s grandfathering strategy for qualifying equipment under the 30 percent Investment Tax Credit. The credit decreases from 30 percent to 26 percent in 2020.
Cypress Creek Renewables is a leader in utility and community scale solar, with more than 300 projects, more than 6 gigawatts of solar developed and 3.2 gigawatts of local solar facilities deployed across the US. CarVal Investors is a leading global alternative investment fund manager.
The US team was led by David Burton (New York) and included Rob Eberhardt, Adrienne Sebring and Taha Qureshi (New York); Vinicius Beraldo (Washington, DC); and Becky Diffen and Josh Rocha (Austin).
