Norton Rose Fulbright advises Raízen in US$1 billion revolving credit facility

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright represented Raízen, one of the largest companies in Brazil, on a US$1 billion revolving credit facility from a syndicate of 13 banks. The deal closed on November 14, 2025.
With a five-year maturity, the facility replaces previous credit lines and strengthens the company's liquidity strategy. The deal was contracted through Raízen Fuels Finance S.A., the company’s Luxembourg subsidiary, and is guaranteed by Raízen S.A. and Raízen Energia S.A.
Raízen is a Brazilian joint venture between Shell and Cosan that specializes in the production of ethanol, sugar and bioenergy. The company also delivers fuel, goods and services under the Shell brand throughout Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay.
