Norton Rose Fulbright represents San Antonio Spurs consortium of selling investors as Sixth Street and Michael Dell become strategic partners

United States Press release - Business June 22, 2021

Our US corporate, securities and M&A team represented the consortium of selling investors of the San Antonio Spurs as leading global investment firm Sixth Street and Michael Dell of Dell Technologies joined the investor group of the National Basketball Association (NBA) team as Strategic Partners.

This transaction was approved by the NBA’s Board of Governors, as was the appointment of Peter J. Holt to Managing Partner of the Spurs. Following this transaction, the Holt family remains the largest shareholder of the professional basketball franchise founded in 1967 and operating in the NBA since 1976.

Sixth Street manages more than US$50 billion in assets with an investment approach offering solutions to companies across all stages of growth.

Michael Dell is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Dell Technologies, which provides customers with an innovative technology and services portfolio for the data era.

Our deal team was led by Daryl L. Lansdale (San Antonio and Austin) and included Charles E. Hord III (New York) and Bryan Caleb Wittman (San Antonio).
