Biography
Rodrigo Morales Draxl represents clients in the energy space in a wide range of domestic and international infrastructure project transactions, with particular experience in the wind energy sector. This includes the representation of equipment manufacturers, developers, contractors and operators involved in energy projects, on matters related to equipment supply, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance and construction. Rodrigo also assists clients on strategic and operational matters, mergers and acquisitions, foreign investments (particularly relating to Latin America), general corporate and contract matters.

- Represented an Indian wind turbine manufacturer in the sale and service of wind power projects in the US.
- Represented a German equipment manufacturer in the sale and service of gas turbines in the US and the Caribbean.
- Represented a private investor in the formation and negotiation of a joint venture, financing and development of a mining concession in Peru for the export and sale of iron ore.
- Represented multinational mining companies in the construction and development of mine and ore processing facilities in Peru.
- Represented an international energy company in the farm-out agreement for 100 percent of the interests in Block 126 onshore Peru.
- Represented an international commodity trading company in the acquisition of minority equity interests in US tech startups.
- Represented a Texas-based logistics company with the sale of equity to an international logistics company.
- Represented a US-based international oil company with the divestiture of its upstream interests in Argentina.

- Represented a joint venture of Uruguayan government utilities in their RFP for the development and construction of a build-own-operate floating LNG receiving terminal.
- Represented a major international power company in the purchase of a Guatemalan company holding a hydroelectric power concession and development rights to a 29-MW power plant in San Cristobal, Republic of Guatemala.
- Represented a syndicate of banks in the financing of a major gas project in Peru.
- Represented a syndicate of banks in the financing for the construction and operation of several transmission lines in Peru.
- Represented a Peruvian gold and silver mining company in its initial public offering on the London Stock Exchange.
- Represented a major package delivery company in corporate and transactional matters of its wholly owned subsidiaries in Latin America and the Caribbean.
- Represented a San Paulo, Brazil-based private wealth fund in the reorganization of international subsidiaries holding more than US$1 billion worth of securities of Brazil Stock Exchange retail-based listed companies.
