Allison Gold focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation, including insurance and reinsurance litigation and arbitration proceedings. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Gold was a litigation associate at two Am Law 100 firms. Ms. Gold also was a federal judicial law clerk for a total of nine years—five years at the trial level and four years at the appellate level—and therefore has an in-depth understanding of federal court practice and procedures.
Ms. Gold's substantive litigation and appellate experience includes working on matters addressing a wide variety of issues, including those arising under the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act, the Anti-Terrorism Act, employment law, Medicaid fraud prosecutions and clawback actions. Her experience in the insurance field includes conducting coverage analyses and addressing issues relating to insurer insolvency proceedings. Ms. Gold also has been involved in reinsurance matters involving the allocation of asbestos and environmental claims; the application of reinsurance treaties to professional liability, annuity and workers compensation claims; and life reinsurance pricing.
