Biography

Laurie Weiss is Of Counsel in the San Antonio office and has enjoyed an active litigation practice. Previously, Laurie had a 10-year career in business, including work with a service company providing computer-based risk management information services to major U.S. corporations.

After graduating from the University of Kansas, Ms. Weiss spent a year teaching English as a second language in Brazil and then went on to a ten-year career in business.

She was selected 1984 Outstanding Graduate Student from West Texas State University School of Business by the American Association of University Women.
 

While in law school, she was a member of the Texas Law Review and was honored as a member of the Order of the Coif. She was admitted to practice law in Texas in 1988 and is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Western, Southern and Northern Districts and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
