Biography

Neil Sparber practices in the New York office. Mr. Sparber represents a wide variety of clients in labor and employment matters, arbitrations, and litigations throughout the country. Mr. Sparber has represented clients in the supermarket, trucking, and envelope manufacturing industries, retail chain stores, as well as high technology and internet companies, not-for-profit corporations, and educational institutions. Mr. Sparber has represented clients in collective actions and class actions with respect to issues arising under federal and state wage and hour laws as well as the Workers Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act.  Mr. Sparber also represents clients in the federal and state courts with respect to claims of age, race, sex, national origin, disability, and other forms of discrimination, including sexual harassment.  Mr. Sparber also regularly represents clients before the National Labor Relations Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and state and local agencies with which complaints of discrimination are filed.  Mr. Sparber  also represents clients in connection with breaches of employment agreements, including enforcement of non-competition, non-disclosure, and non-solicitation provisions. In addition to adversarial proceedings, Mr. Sparber counsels clients with respect to day to day employment issues, conducts seminars on sexual harassment prevention, and participates in collective bargaining negotiations.

Mr. Sparber also represents clients with respect to general commercial matters and has litigated actions involving breaches of contract and a variety of business torts, as well as actions under the RICO statute and the Lanham Act.
