Rate claim over airport land fails to take off after Australian Federal Court decision
Councils’ ability to expand the areas over which they can charge federally leased airports “rates” has taken a blow in the recent Federal Court decision of Clarence City Council v Commonwealth of Australia [2019] FCA 1568.

The parallel imposition requirement in exclusive distribution systems: key takeaways from the CJEU’s ruling in Beevers Kaas
On 8 May 2025, the Court of Justice of the European Union (the CJEU) delivered its ruling in case C-581/23 (the Ruling), providing guidance on one of the conditions for an exclusive distribution agreement to benefit from the block exemption under Article 4(b)(i) of the 2010 Vertical Block Exemption Regulation (the VBER)1, notably the so-called ‘parallel imposition requirement’.

Decree 100/2025 – Key features and impact on gas-fired thermal power projects in Vietnam
Decree 56/2025/ND-CP (Decree 56) came into effect in Vietnam on 3 March 2025. Among other things (and particularly from the perspective of gas-fired thermal power projects), Decree 56 sets out the principles of transferring fuel price (whether domestic gas or LNG) to the electricity price and the minimum long term contracted electricity output for gas-fired thermal power projects.
