United States Press release - People August 21, 2020

The Houston Business Journal recently named Julie Mayo (Houston) as one of its 2020 Women Who Mean Business. Mayo, the leader of Norton Rose Fulbright's US Oil and Gas Practice, is one of three women recognized in the law category.

Honorees were selected based on career achievement, contribution to their firm or company, community involvement and leadership.

An energy transactions lawyer, Mayo represents clients on all aspects of project development and mergers and acquisitions with a particular emphasis on natural gas and LNG. Widely regarded by her colleagues as a leader, she has achieved success without sacrificing teamwork or collaboration.

Her practice covers the entire value chain and all aspects of M&A and project development, including natural gas procurement, EPC contracting, pipeline transportation agreements, tolling agreements, and commodity sale and purchase agreements. She is a thought leader in her practice area, speaking on energy industry issues, as well as transaction and project structuring matters, at many conferences and summits.

She has been lauded for her substantive legal skills by numerous publications, including Chambers, The Legal 500 and Acritas. She is also active in diversity matters in the energy and legal industries, as evidenced by her receipt of the inaugural Power Play award in the Vanguard category and her involvement as a leader at the Center for Women in Law.

Mayo and the other honorees will be profiled in the publication's October 16 weekly edition and celebrated during a live online awards ceremony on October 15.
