Norton Rose Fulbright advises banks on Sicilian supermarket acquisition financing

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised banks UniCredit and Banco BPM on the financing of Fratelli Arena Srl’s (part of Arena Group) acquisition of 38 supermarkets in Sicily from SMA SpA (a subsidiary of Auchan SpA).
With this acquisition, Arena Group, a family-run company established in 1976, has become a market leader in organised large-scale retail food distribution in Sicily.
The Norton Rose Fulbright team advised the banks on the negotiation and drafting of financial documentation. Arena Group was assisted by Avv. Marco Bredice.
