Chris Grieves is a corporate lawyer based in London. He specialises in joint ventures, public and private M&A, with particular emphasis on cross-border and emerging markets M&A, and equity capital markets in the energy, mining and financial institutions sectors.
Chris worked for a number of years in Asia before returning to London in 2007. During his time in Asia he worked extensively on M&A transactions for clients in the telecoms, financial and energy sectors as well as a large number of international equity offerings acting for investment banks and issuers.
Recent M&A and ECM transactions have included acting for BP on the sale of its global LPG business, BMW on its acquisition of ING's European car leasing business, Chaucer Holdings plc on its takeover by The Hanover Insurance Group, Inc., Jupiter Fund Management plc on its IPO and listing on the main market of the London Stock Exchange, Petropavlovsk plc on its move from AIM to the main market and Masdar (a subsidiary of Mubadala Development Company) on its investment in the London Array windfarm project.
