Laura Hamilton is a shipping lawyer based in Singapore. She has a broad range of contentious and non-contentious experience in energy, shipping and international trade-related matters, including international trade sanctions. She has advised clients in relation to disputes under charterparties and shipbuilding contracts, cargo disputes as well as general shipping matters. She also has experience of advising client on risk-management issues, including operational liabilities, project risk, business ethics and anti-corruption compliance programmes and exposure to trade and economic sanctions, with clients ranging from energy and commodities companies and financiers to vessel owners and charterers.

Laura read Law at Keble College, University of Oxford. She then undertook the LPC at BPP London before joining us as a trainee in 2008 and qualifying in 2010. She joined the Norton Rose Fulbright Singapore office in November 2011.
