Kirsty Hick is a litigation and dispute resolution lawyer based in London.
Kirsty specialises in international and domestic contentious insurance matters including professional indemnity defence and coverage work (involving solicitors, brokers, accountants, trustees, offshore financial and corporate service providers and other financial services professionals). Kirsty also advises insurers of UK and overseas financial institutions, deals with coverholder disputes and assists with policy drafting and interpretation.
She also advises on cyber and data protection issues and assists clients with product development, wordings, risk assessment and training.
Kirsty’s recent experience includes acting for Lloyd's Underwriters in Commercial Court proceedings concerning alleged forgery of a reinsurance slip by a broker and purported placement of bond reinsurance for a construction project and advising brokers in respect of potential exposure as a result of a large product recall claim made by a leading drugs manufacturer. Kirsty has also recently acted for a large accountant in proceedings involving alleged negligent tax advice and for administrative receivers in respect of allegations of misfeasance and negligent handling of an administrative receivership.
