Catherine Ma has extensive experience working with leaders in financial institutions, corporations and securities markets in complex civil and commercial litigation matters including class actions, multijurisdictional litigation, restructuring and insolvency, financial services disputes, shareholder disputes, construction, product liability, debt recovery and injunctions.
Ms. Ma also has extensive experience in electronic discovery, document management and various database programs. She assists in managing complex and document-intensive matters, including liaising with internal and external stakeholders and vendors in the collection of documents and managing document reviews. She also assists counsel in various stages of litigation, including discovery, mediation and trial.
Ms. Ma has assisted counsel in all levels of court in Ontario, including the Superior Court, the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada.
Ms. Ma has completed several certificates at the Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario in litigation, corporate law, real estate and estates and two fellowship certificates in ediscovery, including advanced theory and practices for litigation support.
