Shamim Razavi has extensive experience advising foreign investors in Indonesia. His industry knowledge covers financial services, technology and energy companies in Indonesia.
Shamim’s practice incorporates the provision of legal advice to operating companies and investment entities on matters ranging from general corporate organisation through employment, financial compliance and management of relations with Indonesian regulators. His clients include major banks and insurance companies, technology enterprises, private equity houses, hedge funds, energy production interests and offtakers.
Shamim has advised on some of the largest and highest profile deals in the Indonesian market in recent years. They include Pertamina’s acquisition of Natuna Sea Block A; the Sarulla geothermal project, which was awarded 2014 Indonesia Energy Deal of the Year (Asian Legal Business); and Medco’s development of the upstream Senoro gas field for the Donggi Senoro LNG project, which was awarded 2015 Indonesia Deal of the Year (Asian Legal Business).
