Biography

Katja is a banking & finance lawyer based in London (being English and New York qualified) with a focus on cross-border transactions. She advises banks, funds, development finance institutions, trading companies and borrowers in relation to the financing and commercial aspects of energy, infrastructure and mining projects, structured trade, commodity and other associated financings as well as restructurings in emerging and developed markets. She has acted in renewable energy in the context of both onshore and offshore wind and hydropower, as well as the development of motorways, bridges, airports and hospitals in PPP and concession arrangements, regularly working with MLAs and ECAs active in EMEA and MENA.

Katja has a further interest in structured financial products as well as financial regulation, with experience in derivatives. She follows regulatory developments which affect the flux of capital in Europe and further, including initiatives of banking regulators as well as stock exchanges impacting the international investment and asset management industries.

Prior to joining Norton Rose Fulbright LLP, Katja was based in the Frankfurt office of another leading international law firm. She also worked for an international corporate.
