Biography

Luke McFarland is a member of the antitrust and competition group. His practice focuses on assisting clients with investigations of mergers and acquisitions by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Department of Justice (DOJ) as well as compliance with filing obligations under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act (HSR).  Mr. McFarland's HSR experience includes: preparation of HSR filings, assisting in the coordination of foreign pre-merger filings, analyzing the application of the HSR Act and corresponding regulations, and responding to second requests and other inquires related to obtaining pre-merger approval. In addition, Mr. McFarland also has experience assisting clients with a variety of other antitrust and consumer law issues.
