Lillian advises energy and commodity companies on regulatory, compliance, enforcement and commercial issues related to the trading of commodities. She has assisted clients in drafting agreements for the purchase, sale and financing of commodities and evaluating their credit and liquidity risks under these agreements as governed by the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. Her practice also includes advising clients on investment and trading in derivatives and commodities and compliance with laws such as the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010 and the Commodity Exchange Act.
As a member of the FinTech practice, Lillian also advises clients on emerging financial services technology and regulatory issues related to digital assets, blockchain and smart contracts.
