Global Recognition October 25, 2016

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has ranked in the top 3 of the Thomson Reuters and Mergermarket Q3 2016 Hong Kong M&A league tables for legal advisors.

In the Mergermarket table, the firm is ranked in second place by deal value. In the Thomson Reuters table, published in the October edition of Asian Legal Business, the firm is ranked in third place by deal value, with a 6.2 percent market share. The firm is also ranked in the top 5 of the Bloomberg Q3 M&A league table.
In the Thomson Reuters Asia-wide (excluding Japan) league table, Norton Rose Fulbright is ranked in 1st place for Real Estate M&A with a market share of 8.5 percent.

Psyche Tai, an M&A partner in the Hong Kong office of Norton Rose Fulbright commented:

“Hong Kong has seen positive growth in M&A activity since the start of the year, and we’re pleased to have taken a large share of the associated legal work. This is the result of our strong public M&A credentials and a focus on M&A over the past couple of years. It’s been a year for opportunistic buyers, and we expect the upwards growth in M&A activity to continue.”

This follows a strong performance in the Mergermarket Full Year 2015 Hong Kong M&A league table, in which the firm ranked in fifth place for legal advisors by deal volume.
