Biography

Tuanh is a corporate M&A partner based in Melbourne.

Tuanh has nearly 20 years' experience advising and assisting Australian and off-shore clients on corporate transactions. She specialises in assisting clients with their fundraising transactions (including IPOs, secondary capital raising processes and start-up fundraisings) and private and public M&A (including public company takeovers, schemes and defences, private equity transactions, joint ventures and corporate restructuring). She also has extensive experience advising on cross-border corporate transactions in a wide range of industries, including financial services, agriculture, mining and construction services, manufacturing and retail as a well as a broad range of countries, including across Asia, Europe and the United States.

In addition to her work as a transactional lawyer, Tuanh has extensive experience advising Australian companies and not-for-profit organisations, and their boards on corporate governance and risk management issues. With this experience, Tuanh also sits on a number of Australian not-for-profit boards.

She also provides advisory services on a broad range of general commercial and corporate law matters, including bribery and corruption, commercial contracting arrangements, risk allocation and mitigation issues.

She has received several legal industry awards for her work as a corporate lawyer, including the winner of the 2019 Women in Law Awards (Special Counsel of the Year) and a three times finalist in the Australian Law Awards (Dealmaker of the Year and Special Counsel of the Year) (2019, 2021 and 2022).

Tuanh is also a diversity, equity & inclusion consultant and using her expertise in cultural diversity & inclusion, corporate governance and risk management, Tuanh works to support organisations enhance their diversity, equity & inclusion outcomes by driving change through leadership and organisational capability upskilling, workplace culture reviews, D&I strategy development and governance and policy reviews.

Tuanh's work as a diversity, equity & inclusion consultant stems from Tuanh's long-standing work as an advocate for cultural diversity & inclusion in the professional services (particularly law) and more broadly. She has a particular interest in promoting greater representation of culturally diverse women in the senior ranks of the Australian professional services and the Australian corporate sector. She has spoken extensively and published articles on the issue of Asian-Australian representation in senior leadership of the legal sector, professional services and the Australian corporate sector.

In 2020, she was recognised for her work as a cultural diversity advocate as a recipient of the 40 Under 40 Most Influential Asian Australians as part of the Asian Australian Leadership Summit.

  • Air Liquide / Schulke Mayer (Germany) - on its global acquisition of antisepsis hand cleanser business from Johnson & Johnson Medical.*
