The Pensions Ombudsman has published a blog reflecting on the success of its Operating Model Review programme and the Ombudsman’s priorities for the future.

The blog says that the Ombudsman has seen further improvements in case closures achieved during the first six months of 2025/26 — a rise of 14 per cent on the same period last year.

Pensions Ombudsman Dominic Harris said: “This continued improvement is very positive news for [the Ombudsman], our customers and for all our stakeholders. As ever, there is more to do — but our strategy is proving successful and, with the valued support of DWP, we are confident that we can lower waiting times to sustainable levels while continuing to provide a quality service that is both timely and accurate.”
