Norton Rose Fulbright advises EDGE ElbSide on sale to HanseMerkur Grundvermögen AG

Allemagne Communiqué de presse décembre 2020

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised EDGE ElbSide on its sale to HanseMerkur Grundvermögen AG. HanseMerkur Grundvermögen has acquired EDGE ElbSide, an 18-storey office building, with a total lettable area of around 24,000 square metres. The area will provide space for approximately 1,700 workplaces. The main tenant will be energy company Vattenfall, which will occupy around 80 per cent of the space.

EDGE ElbSide in Hamburg's developing HafenCity is the second EDGE building in Elbbrückenquartier. The energy-optimised building will use renewable energy and photovoltaics, as well as offering eMobility infrastructure, that allows the space to be environmentally friendly for both working and commuting.
Dr Stefan Feuerriegel, Hamburg-based real estate partner who led on the deal commented:

“We are delighted to have advised on this project. The building represents a true synergy of user-oriented well-being, first-class design, ecological sustainability and smart technology.”

The Hamburg real estate team also included counsels Sven-Christoph Riepke and Dr Martin Hoffmann and associate Phil-Jung Kim.
