Norton Rose Fulbright awarded DIAC Best Law Firm 2018

Communiqués - Distinctions November 2018

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has been named Best Law Firm 2018 by the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC).

The award was given at an event during Dubai Arbitration Week, held at the DIFC Conference Centre on November 14, 2018. Dubai Arbitration Week is attended by leading global arbitral bodies, organisations and practices and includes conferences and networking opportunities.

The firm was recognised for its depth of experience in DIAC arbitration. The award comes on the back of recent growth to Norton Rose Fulbright’s Dubai based dispute resolution practice, which now has two arbitration specialists in Dubai, Paul Stothard and Deirdre Walker, and another regional specialist, Patrick Bourke, in London.  The award underlines the depth of knowledge Norton Rose Fulbright brings to arbitration in the Middle East.

Deirdre Walker, head of the Middle East, Norton Rose Fulbright commented:

“We are delighted that our leading Middle East arbitration practice and our involvement in over 120 DIAC arbitration cases in the last eight years has been recognised by this prestigious award.  The team also conducts complex and high value arbitrations in all regional and international centres”.

The Norton Rose Fulbright arbitration team handles some of the most high-value and strategically important arbitrations and is known for working closely with clients to determine and achieve commercial objectives in a timely and cost-effective manner. The team comprises well known international arbitration lawyers with extensive experience having appeared as counsel and arbitrator in some of the region’s most prestigious cases.
