Norton Rose Fulbright advises on the refinancing of Italian solar portfolio

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised the lenders, Crédit Agricole and Société Générale, on a €75 million limited recourse refinancing of 14 solar photovoltaic plants, having an installed capacity of 27.4 MWp. The plants, located in the Veneto, Lazio and Sicily Regions, are owned by Cubico Sustainable Investments (Cubico).

Cubico is one of the world’s leaders in renewable energy investment. It now owns a portfolio of solar PV and wind assets in Italy comprised of 37 plants, having a total capacity of 233 MW.

Arturo Sferruzza, Norton Rose Fulbright’s Head of Banking and Energy in Italy and the Milan-based partner who led on the deal, commented:
“We are pleased to have assisted the lenders on this significant refinancing transaction, which underscores the growth of the renewable energy market in Italy and Cubico’s position among the leaders in the sector."
