Fanny Vellin is an environment and real estate lawyer based in Paris. She has long and wide-ranging experience of advising companies on environmental and public law.

Fanny advises clients involved in the construction and real-estate sectors, energy, waste recovery and circular economy. She focuses on matters such as polluted sites and soils, and the sales and rehabilitation of industrial sites. Fanny has extensive knowledge of permitting procedures, for example: authorisation to occupy the public domain; building permits; regulated facilities authorisation; water law; forest clearing; derogation for protected species; and the Natura 2000 assessment.

Fanny started her legal career in 2011 and has worked for the legal department of the Commission de Régulation de l’Energie.

She was called to the bar in 2012, before joining a law firm specialising in public and environmental law, where she worked for three years. She then worked for the legal department of a major firm in the energy sector and joined us in October 2015. 

Fanny holds a degree in general public law from the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne and a post-graduate degree in public law from the Institute of Political Studies of Strasbourg. She is a member of the Paris Bar. 

Fanny speaks French, English and German.
