Biography
Katrina Monagle is a highly experienced commercial lawyer in our Government team based in Canberra. She specialises in advising Commonwealth clients on complex, high-value procurement and contracting matters, with a particular focus on major capability acquisition programs and ICT transformation projects.
Katrina supports clients across the full procurement lifecycle from project initiation and market engagement strategy, to drafting request documentation, managing evaluations, and leading contract negotiations through to execution and contract management. She is known for her strategic input during early project design phases and her ability to navigate high-risk, mission-critical procurements.
In addition to her core transactional work, Katrina provides clear and commercially focused advice on a range of associated legal issues including regulatory compliance, risk allocation, liability frameworks, warranties and indemnities, intellectual property, and innovative contracting models. Her approach is pragmatic and outcomes-driven, delivering tailored solutions that meet the operational needs of government clients.
