We have created a training course, the Aviation finance and leasing school, for in-house lawyers and commercial teams working in aviation finance and leasing. We have done this because we know there is a need to keep teams current on both the foundations and the latest developments. This is particularly important in the current climate. Following the pandemic and the war in Ukraine, the industry is now having to address increasing environmental concerns and a global economic crisis. It could not be a more important time to be well informed.
This course, led by aviation finance and leasing expert Kenneth Gray, with input from leasing practitioners within Norton Rose Fulbright’s aviation group, addresses amongst other things:
- How the aircraft finance and leasing market has changed and will change around the world
- The impact of ESG on aircraft finance and leasing
- Sources of liquidity and credit support now and in the future
- Sanctions
- Risk inherent within the market and how to safeguard against them
- Defaults – restructuring and repossessing
- Efficient structures for financing and leasing aircraft
The February course is run over three days in-person in our London office, featuring presentations with Q&As, workshops, fireside chats with guest speakers and case studies.
