Biography
Peter Mulligan is a partner focused on commercial transactions, technology, data and privacy.
He has particular expertise in respect of large-scale procurements, technology projects, outsourcing, privacy impact assessments, cyber security and data sharing arrangements. This includes deep knowledge of State and Commonwealth procurement, advising government departments and agencies on tendering, panel arrangements, privacy and legislative compliance.
Public and private sector entities call upon Peter to advise on matters involving the acquisition, licensing or supply of information technology, telecommunications systems, and other goods and services. He acts on a broad range of technology-driven transactions and is engaged by clients seeking to implement IT solutions as well as large international vendors that supply technology to the local market. This includes outsourcing projects, managed services, cloud agreements, software licensing and distribution arrangements, systems integration, hardware supply and maintenance. He also regularly advises on security of critical infrastructure, cyber security frameworks, artificial intelligence, privacy compliance, data governance and data breaches.
