Ella Fisher is a commercial and major projects lawyer in our Commonwealth Government team.

 Ella advises on and assists government agencies with a wide variety of commercial matters, including complex procurements, contracts, and other arrangements. She has strong experience across materiel procurement (including maritime, aerospace, land and space capability) and technology, as well as associated infrastructure and through life support arrangements.

 She has a holistic view of the government procurement lifecycle, having regularly advised from project initiation and market engagement, drafting request documentation, evaluation, conducting negotiations, execution and contract management. This has involved advising on procurement strategy and methodology, application of government policy, contract design and drafting, acquisition, project delivery models and market-testing activities, performance based contracting, interpreting, managing and enforcing contracts, dispute resolution and commercial settlement arrangements. She has a strong understanding of the regulatory frameworks within which the Commonwealth government operates, and its practical application to Commonwealth Government procurement.

 Ella takes a pragmatic approach to dealing with commercial and legal issues in procurement. She has a client-centric approach to her work, and is motivated by assisting her clients to achieve strategic, policy and commercial outcomes efficiently, while managing risk effectively.
